Each Architect has a different focus - security, infrastructure, etc. - and works with different business units. This role will focus on application development work and will primarily work with the Finance and HR business units. This person will not be doing hands-on coding , they will be involved in the design and strategy of projects. They will work very closely with their assigned business units and manage stakeholders, as well as work closely with the other Solution Architects. Allison needs someone who is innovative. Someone who knows the new tools and technologies and how to implement those into the environment to keep them moving forward. This resource will not have any direct reports, but they need a leader, someone who will be accountable for developing project solutions. This person will also be involved in governance work. Allision Transmission is open to a variety of software backgrounds. They want someone with depth that has worked with multiple programming languages. They are also open to hiring a senior developer that is up-and-coming in their design and architecture work. Responsibilities: Work with other solution architects, IT leadership, business partners, internal and contract developers to provide guidance, establish guardrails and manage application development Provide knowledge of software development process and technologies including architectural styles and design patterns Lead evaluation, design, and analysis for implementing solutions across technologies within the enterprise architecture governance structure Support projects and product teams by proving senior technical experience to guide and resolve software architecture questions or conflicts Participate in the architecture governance process to ensure adherence to standards, principles, guidelines and solution patterns Participate in the development and socialization of strategic road maps for products and applications Develop and maintain current and future state architecture models and roadmaps for application related technology and services Collaborate with the business and develop design plans for systems based off of requirements Create and maintain design documentation Ensure compliance of government standards or regulatory standards like SOX, PCI, internal audit, external audit, CMMS, etc. Mentoring and coaching of development team members Required Skills: 5+ years - Sr level experience working with multiple programming languages Design and architecture experience will consider a lead developer that is already doing some of this ready to take the next step Experience with being accountable for developing project solutions Experience working with IT outsourced providers in an outsourced model Solid communication skills both verbal and written Experience with industry best practices and frameworks like Agile, NIST, COBIT, ITIL, TOGAF, PMI, etc. Desired skills: Experience working with finance and/or HR business units IT degree Keywords: information technology |
