Job Description:

BEST Attributes: 

Find an individual who migrates modern devices off of legacy systems onto
modern management.

Find an individual experienced with InTune or similar product called Workspace
One by VMWare.

Find an individual who also has enrolled them into Autopilot.

Excellent Communication skills, consistent work history, and strong VDI is
critical.

Whats driving the
need team lost a mid-level engineer who had been on the team for 7 years.
The skill set this individual had, and skill set were working to replace, is:

1.

Virtual Desktop
Infrastructure (VDI VMWare Horizon) (Can be Citrix)

2.

Cloud-based Unified Endpoint
Management (UEM)  Microsoft Intune

3.

On Prem
Configuration Management

4.

Individual well
versed in supporting and architecting VDI. Additionally, strong experience w/
Cloud based Microsoft Intune (Cloud), which ties into Configuration Management
(OnPrem Legacy Component) individual needs experience tying these together as
theyre shifting over into the cloud.

5.

Good Scripter
looking for a fair amount of scripting experience w/ PowerShell scripting
to automate tasks (doesnt need to be expert level)

6.

Individual should be
well versed upgrading these environments, soup to nuts, and able to manage
every aspect of it.

Nice to have: While
were looking specifically for expert level knowledge in the design,
implementation, and support of VDI & Cloud Based Unified Endpoint
Management (UEM), functional understanding of the following areas is a plus:

1.

Desktop as a Service (DaaS)
VMware Horizon Cloud on Azure

2.

PC Lifecycle Management (PCLM)
Microsoft Configuration Manager (SCCM)

3.

Mobile Device and Application
Management (MDM and MAM) Microsoft Intune

4.

Hardware and Software Asset
Management lifecycle ServiceNow, Lansweeper

5.

Audio/Video Conferencing Cisco
Webex, Microsoft Teams

Team Culture: The
team works well together and joking around is welcome. Work hard, focus on
getting the work done, but dont take everything too seriously. This is not a
micromanaging leadership style but that doesnt mean Alex is present to support
the team to make sure theyre on task and getting answers to questions. Office
environment is a large room with multiple team members; nice corner office
view.

Interview: Video
call with Alex for 1hr followed by onsite 2nd round meeting
with technical team members for additional cultural and technical review.

Position Summary
& Overview: The EUC Engineer is part of a team that is responsible for
the overall coordination and control of all End-User Computing Services. You
will:

1.

Handle escalation of
support tickets from the help desk and other infrastructure teams.

2.

Monitors and
stabilizes services in production, sets and maintains acceptable performance
and availability thresholds, - writes code that automates repetitive tasks.

3.

Development efforts
will focus on optimizing existing systems and optimizing through automation.

Day-to Day-Duties
and Responsibilities:

1.

Manage the desktops, mobile
devices, and peripheral devices used to support the access to and use of
business systems.

2.

Maintain ownership of assigned
duties related to various EUC services and the systems that support these
services.

3.

Provide third-tier support and
training for Customer Support.

4.

Enhance security protocols through
design, server hardening, and remediation of detected vulnerabilities.

5.

Develop and maintain technical
documentation.

6.

Track all demand in the banks
ITSM tool.

7.

Communicate changes to management
and end-users as appropriate.

1.

This position
requires an Associates Degree, Technical School, or equivalent and three (3)
years experience as an IT Systems Administrator or IT Systems Engineer.

2.

Must hold a certification
in at least one discipline (Microsoft, VMware, or Citrix), or two (2)
additional years experience.

Strong knowledge
with the following skills.

1.

PowerShell scripting and
automation

2.

OS and application patching

3.

Application packaging and deployment

4.

Windows user profile management

5.

Virtual desktop image optimization

6.

Microsoft 365 apps (Office)

Functional knowledge
in these technical skills.

1.

Desktop and server operating
systems (Windows 10/11 and Windows Server)

2.

Technical writing of procedures
and Knowledge Base articles

3.

Active Directory services
including Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and DFS

4.

Endpoint Security

5.

VMware vSphere administration

6.

Microsoft Azure administration

7.

SSL certificates

8.

Single Sign-On and Multi-Factor
Authentication technologies

9.

Monitoring and Alerting tools
