The Web Strategy and Digital Marketing Specialist is responsible for web page design, digital marketing/advertising campaign implementation, website content and onsite user experience. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Website Updates and Maintenance: Manages and updates multiple Willow Valley Communities organization websites with an emphasis on applying professional web design strategies to measure, quantify and optimize onsite user experience. Responsible for the strategy and implementation of digital marketing initiatives including search engine marketing, search engine optimization, outbound marketing email, keyword strategy, PPC digital display ads, and similar excluding social media. Using the Willow Valley Communities voice, writes copy for same. In conjunction with his/her Team Leader, directs agency/consultant resources to provide expert assistance, Collects, monitors, and assesses related performance metrics and makes recommendations for achieving goals. Partners with the Information Technology Department and outside technology vendors for new product development and updates to and maintenance of sites. Researches and stays current on best practices and most current digital marketing and website trends both within and outside of our industry. Assists in proofreading and editing of content on websites. Other Marketing Responsibilities: Monitors and maintains inventory of promotional items and Storefront website. Assists with and contributes to other marketing projects of department as needed, including but not limited to: proofreading, editing, and minor copywriting. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: There are no supervisory responsibilities for this position. GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS: Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously under tight deadlines often switching from one task to the next. Creative, and innovative, with the ability to suggest new processes as identified. Attention to detail. Strong knowledge of digital marketing and website content management, including use of WordPress and Elementor. Positive, supportive attitude. Ability to work well on a team. Regular attendance is required of this position as well as potential weekend and holiday hours. Adhere to all WVC personnel policies, including but not limited to, those covering Privacy and Security in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Always treat others with respect and courtesy in accordance with the Pledge of Common Courtesy. During times of severe weather or other emergency, Team Members may be asked to work creative scheduling to ensure that immediate and necessary functions and services are provided to our residents. Team Members will be notified of the scheduling expectations as far in advance as possible. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Associates or Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Advertising or equivalent experience required. Two or more years of digital marketing and website management experience with proven success is preferred. Background in web, Wordpress and Photoshop software required. Basic understanding of HTML/coding preferred. LANGUAGE SKILLS: The ability to effectively use advanced language skills in both verbal and written communications for day[1]to-day interactions as well as more sensitive communications. The ability to perform a limited amount of copywriting for online content and email and newsletter communications. Ability to read, understand and interpret contracts and vendor agreements. The ability to use language skills to skillfully proofread documents prior to production. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to work with and apply general mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions. Analytical abilities to review data sets and large spread sheets. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While preforming the duties of this job, the Team Member is frequently required to talk or hear. The Team Member is frequently required to sit. The Team Member is occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms and to lift up to 50lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
