Candidates will work with a very close knit team that is highly technical will be embedded into different squads. The team they will work with are product owners and enterprise architects. They would be assigned 8-9 patents and work with corresponding teams for security aspect and present to board where it gets feedback and approval. More new development work. The client is seeking an Architect V to develop concepts and turn them into functional, safe and economical buildings and structures. Architect V performs architecture planning in support of general IT initiatives. The candidate focuses on requirements & design phases, supports development, testing, and issue escalation. The candidate manages and promotes use of IT standards, serves as subject matter expert to projects and provides support for project team members. The candidate may be required to lead a small team of developers, performs architecture designs and solves complex module and system level application issues. Job Responsibilities: Review and approve building codes, by-laws, space and site requirements and other technical documents and reports. Instruct staff how to use computer-aided drafting equipment or software to produce designs, working drawings, charts, forms and records. Review and approve structural, electrical and mechanical designs and determine a method of presentation. Review and approve interior room arrangements for commercial buildings using computer-assisted design drafting (CADD) equipment and software. Supervise, coordinate, and inspect the work of draftspersons, technicians and technologists on construction projects. Review and approve procedures and instructions to be followed, according to design specifications and quantity of required materials. Provide post-construction services, such as facilities management, energy efficiency measures and other necessary improvements. Designs architecture to include the software, hardware, and communications to support the total requirements as well as provide for present and future cross-functional requirements and interfaces. Ensures these systems are compatible and in compliance with the standards for agency IT architectures, and profiles of standards as they apply to the implementation and specific to the solution for the platform, integration with other systems, and the external interfaces. Skills: Creativity, negotiation skills, verbal and written communication skills and problem solving ability. Expert ability to understand spatial relationships and apply visual orientation. Expert ability to visualize in 2D and 3D and understand aesthetic aspects of design. Expert knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. Experience with CADD (Computer-aided design and drafting) and BIM (Building Information Modeling) software. Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in architectural design or related field required.
