JOB SUMMARY OF AN IT ACCESS SPECIALIST: The IT Specialist is responsible for maintaining and upgrading computer systems for both Mac and PC. This extends to SaaS systems across the company. Experience managing a wide array of projects and clients simultaneously. Can-do attitude and dependable work ethic RESPONSIBILITIES OF AN IT SPECIALIST: Able to set up and configure new Mac and PC laptops for deployment Fully supports, configures, maintains, and upgrades Miles networks and servers as needed Monitors and optimizes network performance and keeps all running optimally Specifies system requirements and designs solutions Secures Miles networks for viruses and hacker attacks Regularly provides system backups Fully maintain and update Zoom VOIP phone systems Sets up Miles user accounts, permissions, and passwords Resolves problems reported by end users via support system Supports and administers third-party applications Keeps systems up-to-date and patched for security and performance (antivirus, spam filtering, OS patches, etc.) REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems (M.I.S.) or related field Excellent knowledge of best practices around management, control, and monitoring of server infrastructure Able to manage own workflow while coordinating with project teams and management on schedules, requirements, goals, and assignments as needed Willing to take direction if and when needed, but also work independently Able to respond positively to customer and peer criticism and feedback Able to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing Able to effectively manage relationships, both internally and externally Displays a dependable, strong work ethic Able to work in a fast-paced, professional office environment Occasional intra- and/or inter-state travel required, sometimes requiring an overnight stay Prolonged sitting and/or standing Able to crawl under desks and climb ladders Able to carry equipment in excess of 30 pounds CORE COMPETENCIES: Culturally Competent Emotional Intelligence Effective Communication Analytical Adaptable/Nimble Creative/Forward-Thinking Critical Thinking/Problem Solving Financial Management Teamwork/Collaboration Professionalism/Work Ethic Trustworthy, reliable, and ethical Time Management Conflict Management Keywords: information technology |
