Role: System Database Administrator Location: Baton Rouge, LA (Hybrid) Job Description: The scope of the proposed System Database Administrator position will include but not be limited to the following: Responsible for design and deployment of database, provision database on cloud, connectivity to cloud, administration, patching in cloud, backup and restore, security and migration (lift and shift). Responsible for architecture, design, build, configuration, upgrading, administration, monitoring, maintenance and security of database system. Responsible for software upgrades, implementation of planned maintenance, security, operating system and firmware patches. Provide database strategies to maintain and improve system integrity. Troubleshoot incidents, determine root causes and find/implement solutions Provide technical knowledge transfer, training, maintenance and support documentation of Oracle Autonomous database, mentorship and guidance to State personnel for requested work. To maintain database links between databases as they function on-premises today. Expertise and/or relevant experience in the following areas are mandatory: 2+ years of experience working with Oracle 11g. 2+ years of experience in Oracle Fusion Middleware, Oracle Access Manager (OAM), Oracle Internet Directory (OID), Oracle Forms and Reports, and WebLogic. 1+ years of experience configuring Oracle databases to use TCP/IP with SSL (TCPS) authentication. 1+ years of experience working with database designs and data warehouse architectures. 4+ years of experience with any development and management of Oracle database tools, such as Toad or SQL Developer. Expertise and/or relevant experience in the following areas are desirable but not mandatory: 2+ years of experience working with OCI Oracle Autonomous database version 19c or higher. 2+ years of experience in implementing the bootstrap process. 1+ years of experience in migrating on-premises databases to OCI. 1+ years of experience working with database links and migration of those to OCI. 1+ years of experience working with Oracle Cloud migration(s). 1+ years of experience provisioning Oracle Analytics Cloud instance in OCI to serve as the Print Server for Apex applications. Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) / Organizational Change Management (OCM) / Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) certification. Oracle database or cloud certifications would be a plus.
