Position: SAP Release Management Associate Location: (100% remote) Duration: 6+ months Job Description: We are seeking a talented SAP Release Management Admin .The ideal candidate should have great attention to detail, be skilled in loading and validating scripts and transports for system releases, and have solid knowledge of SAP, preferably in the Finance area. This is an administrative type role, and candidates with a commitment to quality, with some exposure to the pharmaceutical industry would be a valuable asset. Responsibilities: Develop and execute release strategies for SAP finance applications, ensuring minimal disruption to production environments. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, testers, and system administrators, to plan and coordinate release activities. Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of release processes, tools, and methodologies. Perform risk assessments and implement measures to mitigate potential release-related issues. Coordinate and communicate release schedules, outage schedules, status updates, and deployment plans to stakeholders and team members. Conduct thorough testing and validation of SAP releases, verifying functionality, performance, and security aspects. Troubleshoot and resolve release-related incidents, identifying root causes and implementing preventive measures. Monitor and report on release metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing best practices. Maintain documentation, standard operating procedures, and knowledge base related to release management processes. Stay up-to-date with SAP technologies, industry trends, and best practices, applying relevant knowledge to enhance release management practices. Requirements: Proficiency in loading and validating scripts and transports for system releases. Familiarity with SAP systems and SAP release procedures. Proven experience in SAP release management, with a good understanding of SAP systems Proficiency in using SAP Solution Manager and other related release management tools. Familiarity with ITIL practices and change management principles. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders. Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies and agile practices. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Nice to have: Previous exposure to the pharmaceutical industry.
