From: Ankit Upadhyay, Pivotal Technologies [email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Title: Release Manager Location: Remote Duration: Long term contract Rate: $60+/Hr Visa: USC/GC Client: UW Foundation Must haves: The high level story is they now have 5 new platforms, Salesforce, NetSuite, Mulesoft, and 2 tbd and are needing someone to now manage 15 update releases per year. Theyll be looking for someone higher level who can come in and be a thought leader with this as it is a new role and need for them. They are still thinking on this role but will likely also want them to be able automate/build pipelines. They maybe needing someone to help them distribute out their cloud. They currently have everything hosted with one provider. But with these new platforms, their storage will be distributed out to the various cloud services and they will become too small of a customer for their current provider The Release Manager is a critical role that owns the Release Management lifecycle. This includes procedures, process improvements, scheduling, coordinating, and the management of releases across the enterprise for multiple applications across various portfolios. The Release Manager Job function works collaboratively with all participants in software development projects and is supportive of developers and testers as they set up their build dev/test environments. This position also works with IT management to improve the software engineering processes and practices associated with continuously building, deploying, and updating software and environments. Responsibilities: Manage risks and resolves issues that affect release scope, schedule, and quality Develop scripts and automation tools used to build, integrate, and deploy software releases to various platforms Participate in CAB meetings to discuss release scope and/or roadblocks Administrates Azure DevOps tool and manages key information such as build and release procedures, dependencies, and notification lists Facilitate a bi-weekly production release call, coordinate development team implementations, and deploy Azure DevOps releases into production. Manage relationships and coordinate work between different teams Participate in continuous improvement activity Participate in corporate quality programs Requires on call rotation and evening shifts Required: Experience with TFS and/or Azure DevOps Administration Advanced knowledge of software development lifecycle Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion Demonstrated effective leadership and analytical skills Advanced process-oriented and analytical skills Ability to prioritize tasks and work with multiple priorities, sometimes under limited time constraints. Perseverance in the face of resistance or setbacks Effective interpersonal skills and ability to maintain positive working relationship with others Facilitate and resolve customer requests and inquiries for all levels of management within the Corporation.
