Title- Financial Analyst Location- Seattle, WA Contract Job Description - Tasks: Primary responsibility is to perform complex analysis, problem solving, implementation, and documentation, and deliver information technology solutions for the finance function, following standard project management methodologies. Consults with management and business partners on development of finance application/solution roadmaps and project portfolio planning to ensure future work queue is defined and planned. This role requires both financial analyst and project management capabilities. The emphasis on each of these capabilities will vary based on business need, application/system requirements and complexity, and project size/scope. Proactively partners with business customers and technical staff to define requirements, translates and documents recommendations into functional and technical specifications utilizing best-practice recommendations based on system capabilities. Collaborates with business, finance, IT, and delivery teams and acts as liaison between function/business customers and technical experts. Attend meetings related to finance project requirements Identify reporting/finance related tasks for detailed project plan and monitor tasks for completion and accuracy. Provide support to resources assisting with report build, report testing, and loading transactions in SAP and SAC to enable testing. Review functional and technical design specifications, ensure alignment. Support master data team in aligning hierarchies and master data to third party and management reporting needs. Proficient in most aspects of project management and developing the full project management capabilities described above. Relevant experience: Minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years of progressive, relevant finance and information technology experience Past experience leading project with cross track integration. Experience with software development methodologies such as waterfall, scrum, and agile Team leadership capabilities and inclusive working style Proficient with project management tools and management and tracking of project schedule/activities Proficient in PowerPoint and creation of presentation materials Proficient in Excel and tracking of project budgets Experience with PowerApp is a plus Required skills: Strong knowledge of financial reporting principles and practices, including third party reporting and management reporting. Use relevant financial experience to help transform technology to improve business processes, reduce cost and enhance financial reporting.
