The Information Architecture Consultant will support the creation of an information architecture strategy that will improve wayfinding on nyc.gov. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to creating sitemaps and page outlines, conducting user testing to validate decisions, conducting research and synthesizing findings, and conducting quality assurance. The successful candidate will serve as an Information Architecture Consultant reporting to the Lead Content Strategist and Chief Digital Strategy Officer in the Office of Technology and Innovation. Tasks: Create information architecture deliverables, including sitemaps and page outlines, for nyc.gov and related digital properties based on research and best practices Conduct research into the current state of nyc.gov, the competitive landscape, available technologies, and user behavior data to inform information architecture Conduct user testing of information architecture including card sorting and tree testing and synthesize results for presentation to stakeholders Conduct quality assurance of information architecture documentation and provide actionable feedback Conduct subject matter expert interviews and moderate workshops with key stakeholders Create additional UX deliverables including user journey maps Establish timely communication with the Digital Service team and other project stakeholders Keywords: user experience green card |
