Business Analyst Locations: Remote- Prefer West Coast ( CA and Washington State ) or NJ , MD area NEED CANDIDATE WHO WORKED WITH MIRCROSOFT OR KAISER PERMANANTE in PAST- MANDATORY Responsibilities: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and elicit business requirements, objectives, and goals. Conduct thorough analysis of business processes, workflows, and systems to identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions. Translate business requirements into clear and comprehensive functional specifications, user stories, and use cases. Facilitate and lead workshops, meetings, and interviews to gather requirements, clarify ambiguities, and drive consensus among stakeholders. Analyze and document current state and future state business processes, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives. Identify and define key performance indicators (KPIs) and success metrics to measure the effectiveness of proposed solutions. Collaborate with technical teams to ensure that business requirements are accurately translated into technical specifications. Create and maintain detailed documentation, including requirements documents, process flows, data models, and user manuals. Conduct impact assessments and feasibility studies to evaluate the viability and potential risks of proposed solutions. Assist in the development and execution of test plans, test cases, and user acceptance testing to validate that the solution meets the defined requirements. Provide ongoing support and guidance to stakeholders and development teams throughout the project lifecycle. Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, facilitating effective communication and understanding. Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in business analysis and share knowledge and insights with the team. Requirements: Bachelors degree in business administration, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven experience as a business analyst or similar role, working on software development or technology projects. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to dissect complex business processes and identify opportunities for improvement. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Proficiency in business analysis methodologies, tools, and techniques. Experience in facilitating workshops, meetings, and interviews to gather requirements and drive consensus. Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban). Knowledge of requirements elicitation and documentation techniques, such as use case modeling, user stories, and process flows. Familiarity with business process modeling and notation (BPMN) or similar modeling languages. Ability to analyze and interpret data, draw meaningful insights, and make data-driven recommendations. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks concurrently. Experience with business analysis software tools such as Microsoft Visio, Lucidchart, or Enterprise Architect. Business analysis certification (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) is a plus. Familiarity with relevant technologies and domains specific to the industry (e.g., finance, healthcare, e-commerce) is a plus.
