Organizational Structure And Impact: Describe the impact this role has within the bank/LOB (i.e., mitigating risk, cost reduction, revenue, etc.): The impact this role will have will be to mitigate cost to prevent replicating data everywhere. Describe the function your group supports from an LOB perspective: We are a platform support and support multiple data platforms at the bank. Describe the current initiatives that this resource will be impacting: We are bringing in Denodo as a proof of concept and are testing the functionality to see if it will fit the bank. Candidate Technical and skills profile : Describe the role and the key responsibilities in order of which they will be doing day 1 and frequently followed by those they will be doing as the project/work progresses: Day to Day: Managing users and roles, configuring advanced deployment parameters, setting auditing processes, and configuring caching and other features. Configure the Denodo Platform for data virtualization to satisfy the operational needs in different execution environments. Collaborate with architecture, network, security, and application teams to carry out business as usual activities and troubleshoot any issues Installing and Updating Denodo Platform servers Denodo Platform Backup and Restore Performance Optimizations in Denodo Using the Denodo Scheduler Promotion between environments Monitoring, Cache & DB Refresh, Proactive Prevention of Disk, Space Issues Opening and managing service tickets to Denodo support portal Handle performance bottlenecks and implement performance best practices Create caching layers as required to support the SLAs Understand the latest development/features of Denodo and demonstrate to the team Train and engage clients in the product architecture, configuration, and use of the Denodo Platform Contribute to promoting knowledge and best practices while managing deliverables and timelines Usage of Denodo solution manager, set up cache and log mechanisms Required Skills: Denodo Architecture, Components, Administration Tools, and Configuration (JVM parameters, memory management, Denodo Platform server configuration) Security in Denodo with Databases and access rights Denodo Platform Backup and Restore Using the Denodo Scheduler Users and Roles in Virtual DataPort o Database management o User management o Role management Security concepts (SSL, Kerberos) Monitoring, Cache & DB Refresh, Proactive Prevention of Disk, Space Issues Proficient working with Linux or Unix Operating System Proficient with SQL Does this position require any degrees or certifications for the candidate to be successful HS Diploma is ok Bachelor's preferred (software engineering, computer science, and/or related field) Denodo certification is a strong plus/preferred 4+ of related work exp.
