Azure SQL Application DBA Role: Application DBA's primary responsibility is to design, configure, deploy and administer Azure SQL databases on all environments including development, test, parallel, and production. Application DBA will also help design logical and physical data models across all products. Application DBA will also assist with T-Sql and database triggers. The database/data expert operating between both the development and operational teams. Understanding of non-functional aspects like Elastic Storage file systems, Performance, Scalability, Reliability, Availability, other capabilities of a database. Partner with solution architect and development team in order to fully understand product requirements and configure the Azure database environments which meet these requirements. Minimum Requirements A minimum of 5-7 years of experience as a Azure SQL DB Experience with Agile & DevOps methodologies Performs Azure development and design work that may include logical design, I/O design, cloud architecture analysis and design, and systems engineering. Develops technical road maps for future Azure cloud implementations. Ensures security is integrated into all cloud architecture solutions. Performs advanced systems modeling, simulation, and analysis. Acts as a subject-matter expert around Microsoft Azure for other sales and solutions teams Write Spark code, Azure Functions etc. to meet the data movement and transformations requirements Experience in all aspects of cloud computing (e.g. infrastructure, storage, platforms and data) o Data Layer Azure MySQL Database Service Azure MongoDB Service Health-Check Monitoring Service o Azure DevOps o Troubleshooting complex scenarios related to an Application Deployment Should have knowledge of CI/CD pipeline and Dev Ops automation Able to recommend Microsoft Logic apps and any other relevant Micro services Knowledge of AKS and Kubernetes o Should act as Tech lead and solve problem during lifecycle of the project. -- Keywords: continuous integration continuous deployment database information technology Minnesota |
