Plans, organizes, and controls all operations and activities of the IT Change Management Process.

Resource must currently reside in the State of IN.

This is a right to hire position after 6-month duration.  Only candidates eligible for hire without needing sponsorship can be submitted for consideration. 

Assist in the Design, Implementation and Management of the Indiana Office of Technology's Change Management Process/System while applying ITIL best practices. IOT provides Information Technology Services for Indiana Executive Branch State Agencies. IOT currently manages ~40 customer and internal changes per week. This is the system used for all production, and many non-production system changes performed by IOT for all of the agencies it supports. The Change Manager Administrator (CMA) will be responsible for hosting the weekly Change Management meetings where the decisions are made as to what changes will be made when.

Understanding of broad technical abilities, not necessarily deep, but able to understand and interpret basic system interoperability and terminology. Must develop a thorough understanding of ITIL as it relates to services provided by IOT. Requires significant research and diagramming and documentation of existing processes, as well as process analysis and improvement.

Assist in the planning and implementation of forms and workflows that are related to Change Management processes.

Assist in development of standards and procedures for incorporating workflows.

Monitor systems/email for changes that may need immediate attention or follow-up.

Review changes for form completion and basic understanding level

Facilitate and host weekly change Advisory Board meetings as well as Pre-Implementation meeting.

Prep work to be done before meetings, including reaching out on changes not in proper state for meeting, follow-up on completed changes, etc.

Post-mortem review of changes. May include follow-up with team(s) to gather necessary information for presentation in CAB meeting or other reference.

Assist with tracking down issues, possibly related to a change.

Facilitate communication of ongoing changes (internal and external to the agency).

Meet with staff to educate on change management processes and procedures.

Work with agencies (IOT & others) on schedule coordination and prioritization of changes related to projects, including moratoriums.

Create & maintain procedure & policy documentation.

Educate users in procedures and protocols to assure adherence to the process.

Provide training and communications.
