Responsibilities include configuring, monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting all HANA Database systems across the technical environments on an ongoing basis as well as scheduling and executing the SAP HANA DB system changes. The HANA DB Admin collaborates with all parties to resolve any SAP Delivery Unit source code migrations and changes. The HANA DB Admin manages all OSS notes and interprets them to help the functional teams decide on the course of action Responsible for the installation, upgrade, and maintenance of SAP HANA systems. Additional areas include the evaluation and design of interfaces between SAP HANA DB and external systems, maintenance of the SAP Data Dictionary and database objects if needed. A key area of responsibility is the system SLT replicate, documentation and updating of the existing SAP environment and work with IT and business units to modernize and synchronize all the SAP and non- sap environments. The SAP HANA DB Admin must possess the ability to analyze situations and provide problem resolution. Monitor backend HANA Databases so that issues can be proactively corrected prior to any business impact. Provide third level support to the support partners to reduce the time to resolution window. Troubleshoot and resolve production issues as needed, both internally and with our external partners. Install HANA databases, Apply patches as needed, perform backups and periodic test restores Responsible for performance tuning, and HANA DB optimizations. Serve as Level 4 support for our UA infrastructure and basis teams, and all our support partners Works independently with limited supervision Lead large enterprise projects SKILLS & ABILITES: Hands on experience in multiple full life-cycle SAP ERP project implementations or major cross functional projects required. Must be able to demonstrate expert ability in the design, configuration, implementation, and support of SAP HANA Database systems and heterogenous landscapes Experience with the AFS (Apparel and Footwear Solution) and/or FMS (Fashion Management Solution) are preferred. Possess excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities. Proven experience working as part of a global team is preferred. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and committed to meeting deadlines. Must be a self-starter, proactive, and possess the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must have a strong consumer-centric focus with proven customer service or support experience Must have Excellent written and oral communication skills Computer Skills: Operating system (SUSE or Windows) Databases (SAP HANA, SQL Server, Sybase / MaxDB) required Beside these technical skills a person should have an aptitude for troubleshooting, triaging and being able to escalate issues and a passion for learning new technologies.
