Job Description:- Job Role:- UX DESIGN Location :- NY or NJ (Remote) Contract The successful candidate will serve as an Information Architecture Consultant reporting to the Lead Content Strategist and Chief Digital Strategy Officer in the Office of Technology and Innovation. TASKS: Create information architecture deliverables, including sitemaps and page outlines, for nyc.gov and related digital properties based on research and best practices Conduct research into the current state of nyc.gov, the competitive landscape, available technologies, and user behaviour data to inform information architecture Conduct user testing of information architecture including card sorting and tree testing and synthesize results for presentation to stakeholders Conduct quality assurance of information architecture documentation and provide actionable feedback Conduct subject matter expert interviews and moderate workshops with key stakeholders Create additional UX deliverables including user journey maps Establish timely communication with the Digital Service team and other project stakeholders MANDATORY SKILLS: 8 + years of experience in information architecture, content strategy, website design, or application design Strong portfolio that demonstrates expertise in information architecture, wayfinding, and navigation Experience with user testing of information architecture concepts Ability to clearly present and articulate information architecture concepts and strategies in plain language to stakeholders and cross-functional team Strong understanding of the technology that underlies web information architecture, including content management systems Keywords: user experience New Jersey New York |
