Title: Azure Data Engineer with Scala Location: Houston, TX - Day 1 Onsite Duration: Long term contract Experience : 12+ years Must Have: SCALA, RDBMS, SQL, MS Synapse (SQL Datawarehouse), Azure Data Factory, Informatica, IBM DataStage, Oracle OWB, SSIS, Qlik Sense Technical Skills / Experience: 12+ years of global experience in multiple technologies and business domains. 12+ years of Data Warehousing experience using tools like Azure Data Factory, Informatica PowerCenter, IBM DataStage, and Oracle OWB, SSIS ET Tools. Expert in RDBMS and SQL. Worked on multiple RDBMS platforms like MS Synapse (SQL Datawarehouse), SQL Server, Oracle, IBM DB2. Expertise in ad-hoc reporting and automation using Python, SQL, and Scala. Experience with Big Data and Apache Hadoop Framework, primarily HIVE and Spark with Scala. Experience with dashboarding/visualization tools (Qlik Sense). Excellent Data Analysis and Modeling skills (Warehouse modelling as well as Mart Modeling - Star/Snowflake Schema). Worked directly with business users gathering the requirements and acting as a liaison between business and technology teams. Led small teams (8-12 members) and worked on multiple projects in parallel. Involved in all phases of software development (SDLC) including requirement gathering, analysis, design testing, and deployment. Extensively involved in design and development and created Design Diagrams and source to target mappings.
