http://bit.ly/4ey8w48 https://jobs.nvoids.com/job_details.jsp?id=488960&uid= From: SAPNA, ITECS [email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Position: SAP Basis Technical Architect Location: 100% Remote Duration: 3 weeks to start with and high possibility of extension Start: Immediate The SAP Basis Technical Architect is responsible for leading a current state assessment of an SAP landscape with numerous Solution Manager (SolMan) components and an SAP HANA 1.x database. The assessment will consist of validating the accuracy of existing documentation and recommending changes that maximize the stability, performance, and security of the SAP landscape. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in designing and deploying SolMan and designing and performing SAP HANA DB 1.00.x to 2.00.x upgrades. This role is an integral part of an initial assessment of components in preparation for an SAP Cloud migration project for a large multinational telecom customer. Responsibilities Conduct a thorough assessment of the SolMan 7.2 SP8 components in an existing SAP landscape Conduct a thorough assessment of the existing HANA 1.00.122.17 database components Review existing current state migration approach and disposition document and ensure it accurately reflects all SolMan components and HANA 1.00.x database components in an existing SAP landscape Perform a comprehensive review of the Technical Design Document (TDD) and update based on findings from the current state environment Create future state requirements document that illustrates the preferred design and architecture of an SAP Solution Manager with the following components: PAS (ABAP+JAVA), AAS (ABAP+JAVA), ASCS+ERS (JAVA), ERS (ABAP)+ SCS, WD) identifying any changes or sizing recommendations as part of the planned cloud migration for the application Document any changes necessary to support an upgrade of the HANA database from HANA 1.x to HANA 2.00.x identifying any changes that could impact the planned upgrade of the database Review and update migration approach and disposition document to reflect recommendations Participate in the analysis of the customer's business operations to validate requirements and scope, suggest process improvements, and assist in level of effort (LOE) estimation, if required. Qualifications Education and Work Experience: 8+ years of overall SAP experience 8+ years of BASIS experience 5+ years of SAP HANA experience 5+ years implementing SAP 2+ S/4 HANA implementation projects 2+ SAP SolMan upgrades 1+ SAP SolMan migration to Cloud 2+ SAP HANA 1.x to 2.00.x upgrades Strong understanding of S/4HANA and SAP best practices 2+ years of telecom industry experience (preferred ) Specialized Knowledge, skills, and/or Abilities: Expertise in core SAP Basis capabilities such as: SAP system administration, client/server architecture, transport management, background job processing, system monitoring, and performance tuning. Deep understanding of all components of SAP Solution Manager, including PAS(ABAP+JAVA), AAS(ABAP+JAVA), ASCS+ERS(JAVA), ERS(ABAP)+ SCS, WD) as well as deployment of several functional modules and integration with other SAP systems. Ability to architect and configure SAP Solution Manager components responsible for monitoring and alerting, including early watch reports and automated monitoring based on industry best practices Possess technical proficiency with database administration and experience upgrading from HANA 1.00.x to HANA 2.00.x, and have a solid understanding of any potential version conflict with SAP SolMan 7.2 SP8 Deep knowledge of operating systems, virtualization, and networking Experience with high availability (HA) production and development deployment and configuration of SAP Solution Manager Experience in planning and executing SAP system upgrades, database migrations, and system refreshes.
