The role is aligned with a project involving full software development lifecycle support (SDLC). The candidate must have 5+ years of experience in handling multi-database development with experience in Postgres DB and should be able to hit the ground running. 5+ years of relevant experience working with databases like Oracle, SQL and Postgres with 2 years of hands-on experience in PostgreSQL database Implement and maintain PostgreSQL database code in the form of stored procedures, scripts, queries, views, triggers, etc. Implement effective and maintainable database coding practices that form an architectural foundation. Ensure database code meets requirements & database code is accurately documented. Participate as a member in Agile teams, and work with other team members to review user stories, estimate effort to build functionality supporting user stories, and participate in sprint reviews. Analyze existing SQL query and PLPG/SQL code for performance improvements. Develop functions, PL/SQL statements and stored procedures PostgreSQL to maintain business logic. Design relational logical data models and their physical schema design. Investigates, troubleshoots, and corrects data and user related system errors and ensures data integrity. Strong in SQL and PL/PostgreSQL experience in Postgres 9.x/10.x/11.x environment. Broad and deep knowledge on PostgreSQL and other database development. Hands on experience on identifying bottlenecks and performance tuning of stored procedures and functions. Design solutions to migrate data across different databases. Suggest improvements to current processes, tools and implementation ideas. Strong understanding of performance analysis, QUERY tuning and optimization Willingness to learn and implement new Data technologies as needed. Understating of users, privileges, securities, backup and restore. Excellent speaking-listening-writing skills, attention to details, proactive self-starter.
