JD: Desktop Software Packaging is looking for a contractor to support our enterprise-wide effort of Application Rationalization. Internal Common Off The Shelf (COTS) Software Library has grown substantially in the past few years, and we have an opportunity to slim down our offerings which will drive down cost, risk, and complexity of the environment. This contractor would be responsible for querying the environment for installed software, determining key facts about each title, determining application usage, as well as working with stakeholders and senior engineers to identify candidates for removal/consolidation. Our goal is to reduce our software portfolio by 50% - removing legacy titles, redundant titles, and vulnerable software from our environment in the process. Responsibilities Full life-cycle project management (with assistance from dedicated Project Manager) Establish and lead project teams Develop project plan/scope/schedule/cost/communications Procure and/or manage resources/timelines/deadlines/quality Risk, Issue and Change management Ensure successful project implementation Scope of responsibility Apply engineering principles into the design and enhancement of new and existing processes/systems Document new system components/processes, or modifications to existing components/processes Ensure the security and integrity of system and product solutions including compliance with industry engineering and Information Security principles and practices Perform engineering tasks and assignments in support of business needs Perform engineering technology research, procurement, deployment, and configuration for new and modified systems Provide technical leadership in the architecture discipline and development of information technology solutions Present clear, organized, and concise information to all audiences through a variety of media to enable effective business decisions Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Working knowledge of engineering discipline Advanced database and presentation software skills Advanced research, analytical, and problem-solving skills Advanced verbal and written communication skills Advanced word processing and spreadsheet software skills Advanced PowerShell, SQL, WQL, PowerBI, and SQL Server Mgmt Sudio proficiency Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10 Enterprise Exceptional organizational, planning and time management skills Effective skill exercising initiative and using good judgment to make sound decisions I would appreciate your valuable reply.
