Key Accountabilities:

       Install and configure software and hardware

      Manage network servers and technology tools

      Set up accounts and workstations

      Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirement

      Troubleshoot issues and outages

     Provide support, inclusive of workstation, tablet, smartphone, network, audio/video, printer, camera/security systems and other client computing equipment and technologies

      Networking support: WAN, LAN, WiFi & VPN connectivity

       Resolution, coordination, and escalation of Help Desk tickets (both hardware and software) with 3rd party providers

      Collaborate with mobile device carriers (ATT, Verizon, etc) for device support

       Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls

       Upgrade systems with new releases and models

       Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies

      Build an internal wiki with technical documentation, manuals and IT policies

      Comply with all company policies when handing sensitive, confidential, and intellectual property information

      Monitor industry activities and identify and recommend potential solutions

      Communicate effectively and timely with staff on IT changes and impact

Qualifications

     Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role

       Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management

       Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery

      Ability to create scripts in Python, Perl or other language

      Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms

       IT experience in a manufacturing setting.

       Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude

       Excellent communication skills

       Associates Degree in Computer Science, or related field of study/equivalent work experience required. BSc/Ba in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline; professional certification (e.g. Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA)) is a plus

      At least 2 years of experience:

o   Systems Administration

o   Supporting PCs/printers

o    Helpdesk Support

o   Supporting Client Computing Environment

      Ability to work well independently and within a team environment

      Strong problem solving skills with an attention to detail

      Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows environment

      Good knowledge of WAN/LAN and Wifi environments

      Good knowledge of tablet and smartphone technologies

       Experience providing support to management level is a plus
