Job Title SDET 4/ SDET Lead Location 100% Remote (Rockville, MD 20850) Duration 1+ Year Client - FINRA Summary: The main function of a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) is to develop and execute software test plans in order to identify software problems and their causes. Job Responsibilities: Execute test plans, scenarios, scripts or procedures. Test system modifications to prepare for implementation. Develop testing programs that address areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, or usability. Document software defects, using a bug tracking system, and report defects to software developers Identify, analyze and document problems with program function, output, online screen or content. Monitor bug resolution efforts and track successes. Create or maintain databases of known test defects. Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required. 8+ years experience required Development and programming experience Experience with automated testing tools and technologies. test automation tests and frameworks 3+ years of experience in prior QA Lead roles managing people and leading teams 3+ years of experience creating test strategies that include functional test automation and performance/load testing 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance roles with hands-on testing responsibilities 7+ years of experience with one of Java, JavaScript, or python 3+ years of experience using modern test frameworks (Cypress, Playwright) Demonstrated hands-on experience developing and executing load and performance testing Required Skills Ability to effectively communicate and influence key stakeholders including team members, team leads, and senior leadership Prior experience estimating and prioritizing work Ability to make decisions with partial or limited data Ability to assess, communicate, mitigate and escalate Nice-to-Haves: Mobile testing Foundational knowledge of machine learning Foundational knowledge of application security testing Hands-on DevOps skills Ayush Kumar | IstaffX LLC.
