Difficult to reach and poor video/audio equipment. The Job We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Developer to join our team on a contract basis. In this role, you will collaborate with existing team members to enhance our current build systems by incorporating cloud-hosted solutions like GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipelines, and other cutting-edge build technologies. Your primary focus will be integrating existing workflows to establish comprehensive end-to-end build processes that facilitate the deployment of infrastructure as code (IaC) and applications. To be successful in this role, you should have a strong understanding of DevOps principles and practices, as well as experience with cloud-based build tools and technologies. You should also have excellent communication skills and be able to work independently as well as part of a team. Responsibilities: Collaborate with the team to upgrade and optimize existing build systems by implementing cloud-hosted build solutions such as GitHub Actions and AWS CodePipelines. Integrate and streamline existing processes to create robust end-to-end build processes that encompass infrastructure as code (IaC) and application deployments. Employ industry best practices in engineering, code lifecycle management, and testing to ensure the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of the build systems. Actively contribute to the design and implementation of automated deployment pipelines, leveraging your expertise in continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) methodologies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues, identify bottlenecks, and implement effective solutions. Experience with Agile methodologies (examples include Scrum or Kanban) required. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Extensive experience working in a DevOps role, with a focus on build systems and infrastructure automation. Proven proficiency in implementing cloud-hosted build systems, such as GitHub Actions and AWS CodePipelines. Strong understanding of infrastructure as code (IaC) principles and experience with tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar. Demonstrated expertise in implementing and optimizing CI/CD pipelines and related tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, CircleCI). Solid programming and scripting skills including but not limited to terraform. Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker Swarm, Amazon ECS, Kubernetes). Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including knowledge of their respective services and deployment practices. Proficient in version control systems (e.g., Git) and code repositories (e.g., Bitbucket, GitHub). Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work effectively in a self-directed fast-paced, collaborative environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
