Job Description - Network Cisco Engineer Location- Berlin, MD (Hybrid) Local MD only Visa- Any visa C2C Interview- Skype Responsibilities: Deploy and configure a comprehensive network setup, including 14 Cisco 9300 Network switches in two stacks, 40 Cisco 9130 AKI-B Access points, and VIP phones. Collaborate with the existing network team to optimize data traffic between locations. Provide expert support in the management and maintenance of our Cisco networking infrastructure, encompassing switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless components. Troubleshoot and resolve networking issues promptly to ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance. Proactively implement monitoring solutions to assess the health and performance of the Cisco network infrastructure. Participate in network equipment upgrades, software updates, and patch management initiatives to ensure network security and efficiency. Contribute to the implementation and configuration of security measures to safeguard against potential threats and vulnerabilities. Work closely with the security team to enhance the overall security posture of our network infrastructure. Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, changes, and infrastructure for future reference and knowledge sharing. Key Responsibilities: Extensive experience in deploying, configuring, and optimizing Cisco networking solutions, including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless components. Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving networking issues promptly to minimize disruptions. Strong knowledge of proactive monitoring and assessment of network health and performance. Previous involvement in network equipment upgrades, software updates, and patch management. Familiarity with implementing security measures to protect against potential threats and vulnerabilities. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team. Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCNP) are a plus.
