Role Power BI Manager (must have very high level management skills)

Hence the healthcare. Also, the Healthcare doesnt have to be their most recent but within the past year or so.

They need to be CST located or worst case EST. No west coast candidates allowed.

This is a Power BI manager role

Not necessarily a DS role

Also, they dont have to have Azure - AWS will work

Position Summary

Data is our customers most critical asset, and you will change how we understand and employ it. Our customer is seeking an action-oriented Data Science Strategy Principal Contractor for our Data Science team. The Data Science Strategy Principal will lead the newly formed data science team consisting of data engineers and data scientists. The team will deliver further build out of enterprise data cloud storage in Snowflake, using Azure and dbt technologies, leading dashboard and analytical content in Power BI, and AI/ML content through advanced modeling techniques. The successful candidate will have strong experience leading data and analytics teams, providing thought leadership on innovate solutions, and have a strong understanding of the current and future data science landscape. They must have the ability to influence and drive business results with their data-based insights. The right candidate will have a passion for building and coaching teams that discover solutions hidden in large data sets and work with stakeholders to improve overall data quality.

Specific Responsibilities
Lead the design and development of systems of standardized dashboarding and related data warehousing based on business requirement needs leveraging advanced visualization techniques.
Design, develop and implement sophisticated data analytic solutions to ensure the ongoing integrity of our revenue stream and customer experience.
Work with key partners to understand requirements and improve opportunities to drive insights into action using our advanced Data Science toolset and unique data environment.
Direct the identification and use of appropriate analytical technologies including cohesive data since toolsets and platforms.
Develop deep knowledge of core data domains and drive value from the intersection of different functional views of healthcare, including the focus on provider, member, and claims data domains.
Mentor members of the data science team on solution design and delivery leveraging advanced statistics and modeling techniques.
Collaborate with internal and external partners to manage system/data processing workflows.
Adhere to all requirements to ensure timely and accurate entry, delivery, and integration with downstream/related systems.
Have knowledge of and make recommendations on purchase of external data sources, software, and services to enhance data quality, completeness, and use.
Conduct staff development and training sessions as indicated, including preparing and presenting information on data and business concepts and standards.
Act on behalf of the Chief Data Officer as needed and collaborate in the determination and establishment of program priorities, policies, and procedures.

Required Qualifications

Minimal 10+ years' experience in data warehousing/BI/analytics.
Minimum 5+ years of experience working in Cloud platforms.
Understanding of migration, dev/ops, ETL/ELT, BI, and AI/ML modeling required.
At least 3 years of experience work with/in Snowflake, Azure Data Factory and Power BI, and dbt.

Experience in healthcare industry required.

Education / Desired Qualifications 

Bachelors degree in business, Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or relevant field.
Working knowledge of data science principles: predictive analytics, mapping, collecting data from multiple cloud-based data sources.
Strong SQL skills, ability to perform effective querying involving multiple tables and subqueries.
Understanding of and experience using analytical concepts and statistical techniques: hypothesis development, designing tests/experiments, analyzing data, drawing conclusions, and developing actionable recommendations for business units.
Experience and knowledge of statistical modeling techniques: GLM multiple regression, logistic regression, log-linear regression, variable selection, etc.
Experience writing advanced data science code statements, models, and macros.
Experience working with and creating databases and dashboards using all relevant data to inform decisions.
Experience using analytics techniques to contribute to company growth efforts, increasing revenue and other key business outcomes.
Strong problem solving, quantitative and analytical abilities.
Strong ability to plan and manage numerous processes, people and projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and delegation skills. Proven ability to think conceptually and abstractly, with excellent analytical skills and experience creating reports and processing large volumes of data.
Crisp business execution and project management rigor are critical, along with a service mindset.
Clear, concise, and effective verbal and written communication, able to communicate with business and data consumers, technical partners, and organizational leadership to motivate, advise, and influence.
Experience training staff on the use of good business processes and the technology used to deliver processes.
