The Sr. Engineer will work in a challenging, hands on environment supporting network projects and helping our network team with the following: Plan, manage, implement, and document integration projects. Responsibilities include but not limited to: Ability to work cross-functionally with Engineers and Developers Proven ability to work in a dynamic team environment with changing requirements and competing priorities. Use network and security monitoring tools to audit infrastructure, detect issues and coordinate remediation of any issues. Must be proficient with layer 2 and layer 3 technologies (BGP, VLANs, Trunking, ACLs, IPSec, and TP) Develop network and security configuration procedures and documentation to assist in ongoing implementation. Provide high level overview to the team so they can plan and prioritize the work load accordingly Maintain inventory records for circuit installs, circuit disconnects, network support contracts and in house network hardware inventory. Monitor circuit and application performance. Stay abreast of network and security concerns/issues and work with the team to collect and share thoughts of how we can improve. Responsible for learning all of the systems and applications required to perform the job function adequately Education and experience: Strong hands on technical experience with routers and switches. Previous experience in Cisco networking a plus. Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university, or any equivalent combination of certification, education and experience Cisco (CCNA) and/or (CCNP) certification. Possess good decision-making skills and strong customer service skills Ability to maintain clear and detail oriented documentation of processes and procedures Maintain and increase technical capabilities through knowledge gained in product testing, training, and quality/process improvement oRole focus: Various Project work, a lot around the recent acquisitions, integrating them into Corteva's network oCisco shop, route/switch/wireless/integration work oNetwork Automation preferred - help build this out, using Python or similar languages oUpgrades/cleaning up tech debt for Johnston/Indy locations oTransformation projects, wide mix CCNA or CCNP desired interview Notes: Ravi's team is focused on Cisco routers, switching, & wireless Any experience with Spanning tree Do you have Cisco IOS experience do you know what a subnet mask is Ravi's team is going to more software defined networking 7 layers of networking: looking for someone with and L3 on this list, prefer CCNA #1.
