JOB DESCRIPTION: Role: Database Administrator / Data Engineer Location: Chicago, IL -Hybrid (Day 1 Onsite) Client: IGT/United Airlines Duration: 12+ Months Job Description: Responsibilities: Experience: 8 to 10 years as a DBA that include Database & Query Performance Tuning Must have excellent Redshift experience along with DBA knowledge Optimizing and tuning the Redshift environment including Cluster, Database & SQL queries Good knowledge of analyzing explain plan and tune workloads to improve runtime Good knowledge of Workload Management within Redshift along with queue mgmt. Excellent understanding of the AWS architecture (RDS, S3) Redshift and Aurora Cluster & Database Administration support Knowledge of Data Replication, Data Sharing & Data Modelling including Logical and Physical data source Hands on experience with Python scripting & Automation Knowledge of ADFS and User Access management Knowledge of setting up Cloud Monitoring and Alert Metrics management Good to have Apache airflow experience Excellent communications and a Team player Good to have - AWS Certified Solution Architect Experience: Database administration: 8 years Performance tuning: 5 years AWS Redshift & RDS Experience: 2-3 years Python: 1 year Scripting: 1 year Education: Bachelor's degree required -- Keywords: sthree information technology Illinois |
