PVs conversation with end client- I know there have been questions on Doug Smiths new req. Here were some questions I received with Dougs answers: 1. Is this an actual AS/400 Programming role Yes, this is a programming role primarily. There will be some support for users at times as well. 2. Is this a QA testing role If so, is it testing AS/400 applications No, but he or she may have to assist with the code testing. 3. Can we get a little more information as to what this role is and what the actual project is We have a project that is called DSCSA or Track and Trace that is our main focus currently. Is Doug looking for a developer for this spot or more of a BA as he did for his last position that was released in early May This is for a true AS/400 programmer to replace someone who left the team. Our Dublin Ohio client has a remote contract opportunity fora AS400 Programmer who will assist with the development of project deliverables and technical documentation. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: The programmer is expected to work closely with the project manager and assigned tech lead to understanding designs and developing against them. In addition they will need to create specified associated technical documentation for the project and will work closely with the application technical team members to test to ensure business requirements are successfully met. SPECIFIC DUTIES, ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Experience with unit testing and integration testing Experience with embedded SQL development Experience with application architecture, design, structured coding and testing, advanced programming concepts, and performance tuning Assists in the development of accurate and complete test plan Education: Education or Equivalent BS in computer or related field.
