Please share suitable profile Job Title: Network Wireless Engineer Location: ITS Hybrid job Location : (Philadelphia-PA or Wilmington-DE) and need local candidates only to the role Duration: 12 months (expected) Client: Chubb Insurance Responsibilities: Utilize strong knowledge of networking concepts and protocols such as IPv4 and IPv6, TCP, UDP, and DNS, DHCP services as well as network routing protocols. Configure network hardware and infrastructure including routers, hubs, servers, VPNs, and switches, primarily focusing on Cisco-based infrastructure in an on-premises environment. Demonstrate fluency in 802.11 wireless protocol and possess the capability to configure switches and Wireless LAN Controllers (WLC). Collaborate with customers' employees to effectively understand and address site-specific wireless issues. Escalate complex or unresolved issues to appropriate teams and stakeholders while maintaining effective communication. Travel to various locations as required to resolve on-site wireless network issues, employing efficient ad hoc travel plans. Establish company Headquarters facility as primary support location. Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to promptly identify and resolve wireless network-related challenges. Communicate technical concepts clearly and concisely to non-technical individuals, ensuring effective understanding and collaboration. Manage time efficiently to coordinate various project aspects, ensuring timely completion and delivery. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). CCNP certification (traditional R/S route switch) is required. Additional wireless specialization or 3rd party wireless certifications (CWNP) highly desired. Strong fundamental networking background with demonstrated expertise in wireless skills and experience. Proven experience in configuring and troubleshooting network hardware and infrastructure, including routers, and switches (Cisco-based infrastructure preferred). In-depth knowledge of wireless protocols, particularly 802.11, and hands-on experience with Wireless LAN Controllers (WLC). Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex wireless network issues. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical individuals. Strong time management skills to coordinate multiple project aspects and prioritize tasks effectively. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, taking ownership of assigned tasks and meeting deadlines.
