Strong programming skills in languages like Java, C++, or Python, with experience in developing distributed systems and scalable applications. Familiarity with real-time payment protocols and standards such as ISO 20022 and experience working with the FedNow platform or similar real-time payment systems is highly desirable. Experience with API design and development, including RESTful APIs. Knowledge of secure coding practices, data encryption, and vulnerability management. Design, develop, and implement software applications and systems that enable real-time payment processing using the FedNow platform. Collaborate with product managers, architects, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications and solution designs. Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code using appropriate programming languages (e.g., Java, C++, Python) and frameworks. Conduct thorough testing and debugging of software components to ensure high quality and reliable performance of real-time payment applications. Collaborate with QA teams to ensure proper testing and validation of software deliverables. Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements to optimize the efficiency and scalability of the payment systems. Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in real-time payment technologies, including new features and capabilities offered by the FedNow platform. Participate in code reviews, contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes, and provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers when needed. Adhere to coding standards, best practices, and security guidelines throughout the software development lifecycle. Document technical specifications, system architecture, and user guides as necessary.
