Hi Contract Role: Scala Architect | Functional Programming | ScalaWork Location Austin TX (Onsite) Exp 11+ Rate 85 Job Description  Programming experience in Spark/Scala. Good understanding of functional programming Experience with building data pipelines, data processing and reporting in Big Data systems, Experience of using Agile based development methodologies. Good understanding software development and Enterprise architecture patterns Hands-on experience with open source big data technologies like Hadoop, Hive, Spark, YARN, Oozie, HDFS, etc. Data processing experience with Spark Streaming, Spark SQL Expertise with functional programming, preferably Scala. Comfortable with Java and/or Python. Ability to understand and write analytical queries on Bigdata using SQL, Hive Expertise and understanding of common methods in data transformation Ability to understand API Specs, determine relevant API calls, ETL i.e. Extract->Transform->Load data and implement SQL friendly data structures Experience on using GIT , resolving conflicts, working with branches Understanding and exposure to file formats such as Apache AVRO, Parquet Hansdson exp on raised demand skill with BI technologies Coordination with Offshore onsite team for the ongoing work Good Communication skill : 5 years of programming experience in SparkScala. Good understanding of functional programming5 years of experience with building data pipelines, data processing and reporting in Big Data systems,Experience of using Agile based development methodologies.
