Job Title: IT Project Manager Tax Systems & Revenue Solutions Duration: 6+ Month Contract (Potential to full time hire after 6 Months) Location: Towson, MD , Need Local Candidates Work Location: HYBRID - 80% onsite and 20% remote; On-site in Towson, MD This project is for the Baltimore County Government in Towson, MD Job Description Duties and Responsibilities The Project Manager is assigned the management of specific project work. Performs day-to-day management of the project, identifies issues and risks and recommends possible issue and risk mitigation strategies associated with the project. Is responsible for ensuring that work performed is within scope, consistent with requirements, and delivered on time and on budget. Identifies critical paths, tasks, dates, testing, and acceptance criteria. Provides solutions to improve efficiency (e.g., reduce costs while maintaining or improving performance levels). Monitors issues and provides resolutions for up-to-date status reports. Demonstrates excellent writing and oral communications skills. Minimum Qualifications/Skill Sets must meet all of these below Education: Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business or other related discipline preferred. Project management certification is preferred. 5 years of experience in project management. 5 years of experience in managing IT related projects and must demonstrate a leadership role in at least three successful projects that were delivered on time and on budget. 2 Years of experience in tax system software 4 years of experience with Microsoft Office Software. Experience in local and state tax rules and processes Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Project, Excel, WORD) Exceptional organization and coordination skills Exceptional oral and written communications skills Preferred Qualifications/Skill Sets not mandatory, but desired Oversight and management of a tax implementation for a government entity, including post production management. Experience with Revenue Solutions Inc software solution. Ability to work as part of a team, independently, and multi-task.
