Job Description: Role: Sr. React.js Developer Duration: 6+ months contract Location: Windsor Mill, MD (Locals only Hybrid: 3 days) Key Required Skills: JavaScript (ES6), Node.js, React, Redux, Git, Agile Development, React Testing Library, Jenkins, CSS Position Description: The Senior React Developer shall have extensive experience in developing and maintaining high-performing Single Page Applications. The candidate will have prime accountability for major projects and will code, test, and implement proposed systems. The candidate will demonstrate design experience and will give and receive technical feedback during the Pull Request (PR) process. The candidate will be responsible for creating maintainable, adaptable, scalable, defect-free code using software development best practices and coding standards (i.e., software reuse, refactoring, continuous integration, test automation, secure development, static code analysis, peer/code review). Qualifications: This experience is the foundation a candidate needs to be successful in this position: Bachelors degree in computer science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field and 10 years of experience Masters or Doctorate degree may substitute for required experience Required Skills: Extensive experience with ES6 syntax and conventions (async/await, Promises, const/let, arrow functions, etc.) Experience with React 16+ and React hooks Experience with Git and GitFlow Extensive hands-on experience with one or more frameworks such as Angular, React, Vue, etc. Extensive hands-on experience with one or more state manages solutions such as Redux, Flux, MobX, etc. Experience in developing the applications using Single-Page Architecture. Experience working on Agile projects and strong knowledge of Agile terminology and tools including VersionOne. Experience in coding "responsive " web pages with an understanding of the cross-browser limitations and browser compliance standards. Experience with modern software development tools for Continuous Integration including Jenkins, Git/BitBucket, Jira, Nexus, Jenkins, SonarQube. Experience with REST/SOAP and Security (JWT, OAUTH2). Experience writing unit tests (i.e., mocha/chai/react testing library) Knowledge of security vulnerabilities in web applications and addressing them. Strong communication and documentation skills. Desired Skills: Experience with Node.js and writing/maintaining BFF layers Experience with the implementation of Section 508 standards for Web Applications. Exposure to writing Technical White Papers and systems design documents. Prior experience with federal or state governments IT projects.
