Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Front End WordPress/Drupal Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a WordPress-first developer with strong skills in Drupal development as well. As a Senior Front End WordPress/Drupal Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining websites, implementing new features, and ensuring the seamless integration of front-end designs. Responsibilities: Utilize your expertise in WordPress development to create and maintain visually appealing, responsive, and functional web pages. Develop websites using frontend technologies such as HTML/HTML5, CSS/SCSS, React, and Angular. Implement custom features and functionalities using WordPress and Drupal, with a strong focus on WordPress development. Collaborate closely with the design and marketing team to transform wireframes and mockups into high-quality web pages. Ensure cross-browser and device compatibility and optimize websites for maximum performance and usability. Work with backend developers to integrate frontend designs with backend systems and APIs. Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in UI/UX to deliver innovative and user-friendly web solutions. Troubleshoot and debug front-end issues, ensuring smooth functionality and a seamless user experience. Write and update user stories, acceptance criteria, implementation notes, and risks/assumptions in work ticket management systems. Mentor and provide guidance to junior developers, promoting best practices and efficient workflows. Required Qualifications Demonstrated 6+ years of experience as a Front-End Developer, with a strong focus on WordPress development. Proficiency in frontend technologies including HTML/HTML5, CSS/SCSS, React, and Angular. Extensive experience developing custom themes and plugins in WordPress. Solid understanding of Drupal development, with at least 3+ years of hands-on experience. Experience in integrating third-party plugins/modules. Experience in consuming RESTful web services using AJAX, JSON, and jQuery. Knowledge of front-end build tools such as webpack, grunt, npm, and yarn. Experience with the Acquia and AWS platforms. Familiarity with source control services like Git, preferably GitLab or GitHub. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, adapting to different project requirements. Secondary Qualifications: Docker experience and familiarity with containerization. Proficiency in both frontend and backend development in WordPress. Knowledge of headless/decoupled architecture and its implementation. Familiarity with Linux/MySQL. Understanding of the Construction Products/Manufacturing/Building Materials industries. Ability to write and update work ticket user stories, acceptance criteria, implementation notes, risks/assumptions.
