Position: Database Administrator Location: Tallahassee FL | Onsite Duration: 12 Months Visa: USC/GC/GCead Scope of Work/ Job Characteristics The Database Administrator will serve as the principal line of communication for the project team. The duties and responsibilities of this position are as follows: Power BI Related Convert existing QLIK dashboards to Power BI; Support and maintain the exiting QLIK dashboards, in parallel, while they are converted/replaced by Power BI dashboards; Interact with business customers regularly to consolidate and analyze requirements and present them the dashboard design results; and Develop and maintain technical specifications, standards, procedures, and techniques for collecting, processing, storing, and distributing Power BI dashboards. Data Warehouse Related Create and maintain Enterprise DW architecture and standards based on Microsoft SQL Server and the Departments Data Visualization and Statistics platforms; Interact with business customers regularly to consolidate and analyze requirements and present them the design results; Create/maintain ETL architecture and provide strategy related to data cleansing, data quality, and data consolidation; Analyze developers needs for new DW objects and make recommendations as to the most efficient way to implement the requirements while ensuring optimization; Develop and maintain technical specifications, standards, procedures, and techniques for collecting, processing, storing DW data; Develop and maintain processes that optimize databases and queries to ensure response times are kept to a minimum; and Work with the database team to create SQL Server Integration Systems (SSIS) Packages that push data to SQL server databases from IBM mainframe DB2 databases. NOTE: Any successful candidate with access to the Department's network is required to complete the Department's Security Awareness Training within 30 calendar days of hire.
