Kindly mention visa and location Title AWS Cloud Engineer Location Hybrid | Wayna, PA or Malvern, PA local Visa USC, H4EAD Duration 6+ months contract We are seeking a Cloud Engineer that will provide expert level Tier 3 technical support for the most critical projects, application/infrastructure modernization, and to ensure reliable operation of the production environment. This position will require significant experience with cloud technologies; specifically, AWS to support investment related cloud migration and infrastructure implementations. AWS certification is required. In addition, this position will require knowledge of the Windows and Linux platforms to support on-premises applications and infrastructure. This position resides on a Global Tech Ops team that provides dedicated support for the investment applications/infrastructure and partners closely with Investment Management for support activities and implementation initiatives. Investment systems knowledge preferred. This hybrid role (Tues-Wed-Thurs in office) is based in Wayne, PA, with a potential to move to the Malvern main campus. In this role, you will: Provide expert level Tier 3 technical infrastructure support services for issues elevated from the Support Center and other Technical Services groups. Ensures reliable operation of production. Diagnoses and troubleshoots availability interruptions and other production issues. Plan and implement new technologies and major releases for the most critical enterprise-wide IT infrastructure projects. Test, install, and migrate software, patches, upgrades, proxies, applications, and/or hardware. Communicate with IT groups to assess systems risks on those areas and to keep groups apprised of systems issues that may have an impact on those areas, including projected down times and business risks. Communicate with IT vendors to research and resolve issues. Develop technical standards. Test and evaluate IT vendor products. Maintain, monitor, and tune Production system and applications performance. Identify opportunities to improve performance (e.g., automating manual system tasks). Perform capacity planning activities. Train and mentor staff. Resolve the most complex issues elevated from staff with less experience. Write documentation, including project plans, backup plans, business continuance, installation procedures, and troubleshooting tips. Create diagrams, including technical topology. Add, update, and close IT Problem Management database records. Research and resolve the most complex issues, and reviews related technology records to mitigate impact on assigned system. Review numerous IT knowledge repositories to update technical knowledge. Learn and understand client area business functions and requirements. Has the ability to determine the appropriate technical tool to address the client's business needs. Thoroughly understand and comply with IT policies and procedures, especially those for quality and productivity standards that enable the team to meet established client service levels. Thoroughly understand and comply with Information Security policies and procedures. Verifies deliverables meet Information Security and VSA requirements. What it takes: Undergraduate degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Eight years' experience in technical specialty, including three to four years' hardware/software configuration and troubleshooting experience. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Expert knowledge of the following product support practices and concepts: infrastructure design, wide range of technologies, full project delivery life cycle, IT service level agreements, performance monitoring, tuning, and debugging (e.g., GTF traces, and region and transaction dumps), software and peripheral installation, network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP and ACCP), process/product testing and verification, software and/or hardware setup and configuration , technical standards and deliverables, system log files, tasks, account management, and commands. Special Factors Strong automation scripting skills in AWS (Lambda, Python, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, etc.). Existing on-premise applications require strong scripting skills on a Windows platform, PowerShell, etc. (The Linux applications are covered, so Linux is not a requirement.) Sophisticated automation scripting in Python preferred. Will support design and execution efforts to migrate/modernize other on-premise applications to an AWS Cloud platform. Configuring AWS for automated monitoring, adding to the Operations Dashboards. This group does not have an off-hours on-call support schedule. However, there are times when Production Support issues may require off-hours support (staying later than normal end of day when issues arise). You should be aware this will designate you as a Fund Access Person and carries with it certain responsibilities and restrictions.
