Do share me your updated resume on [email protected] Position: Functional/Domain consultant Location: 100% Remote Duration: 3-6 Months Contract Visa: Only No H1B Job Description : We are seeking an experienced Functional/Domain Consultant to join our team and assist in updating and rebuilding customer segmentation schemes and demand landscapes for residential and non-residential energy consumers/customers. As a consultant, you will play a crucial role in refining our understanding of customer segments, enhancing product and service offerings, and driving strategic decision-making. Responsibilities: Collaborate with internal teams to design and develop attitudinal and behavioral customer segmentation schemes. For attitudinal schemes, lead all stages of development, including designing survey or focus group approaches, collecting and analyzing feedback, and integrating external demographic data. For behavioral schemes, collaborate with internal resources to refine and operationalize candidate schemes and segments. Work closely with cross-functional teams to "bring to life" each segmentation scheme by translating them into actionable insights and operational strategies. Provide expertise in segment classification, assisting with refinement of rules, algorithms, and criteria for segment assignments. Leverage the segmentation schemes to create residential and non-residential demand landscapes. Identify areas of the customer base already well-served by existing products/services and areas with potential for new offerings. Collaborate with internal teams to develop strategies for addressing gaps and opportunities within customer segments. Conduct thorough analysis of customer data to extract meaningful patterns and insights. Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to interpret and understand the impact of various variables on customer segment assignments. Effectively communicate findings, recommendations, and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment between segment strategies and overall business goals. Document the development process, methodologies, and key decisions related to each segmentation scheme. Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior leadership, summarizing segmentation strategies and their implications. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Marketing, sales, Analytics, Economics, etc.). Electric and Gas utility industry experience for 10+ years Proven experience (8+ years) in customer segmentation, demand landscape analysis, and/or related domains. Strong understanding of attitudinal and behavioral segmentation methodologies. Experience with data-driven decision-making, statistical analysis, and working with customer data. Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex concepts to diverse audiences. Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Python, R, etc.) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
