We are a resident in a Waltham cool data center We are relocating our Waltham MA data center to Northborough MA This role will be hand on-site work for the move prep, the move itself, and post-move clean up Some level of system administration will be included in the function Windows Server and VMware What are the main 3-5 responsibilities of this resource Prep for the data center move documenting the current data center, pre-move remediation, system admin The data center move physical cabling, rack, and stack, system admin The post data center move, physical clean up, documentation update, equipment wipe What are the main 3-5 technologies this resource should be proficient in Data Center Hardware Data center cabling Windows Server VMware (ESX) What are the TOP 5 Critical Skills or Must Haves skills a candidate should have on their resume in order to be considered attention to detail communications colo data center working knowledge dependability Is there a possibility for an extension in this role or a potential for permanent hire possibly Job Summary: This job is responsible for providing both on-site and remote technical assistance during the preparation of as well as during the actual physical move of the Dentaquest Data Center Primary Job Responsibilities: Responsible for: Providing physical and technical assistance in preparation for the data center move lite windows and networking administration reviewing and documenting the power reviewing and documenting connectivity - both physical and logical in the data center decommission and removal of equipment prior to the move development of the actual move-run book review the overall physical health of the data center setup of the new colocation data center space Providing physical and technical assistance during the move Assisting in the pre-move preparation as assigned. Assist in the execution of Data backups Assisting in the packaging of equipment for the move Equipment rack prep cable marking and removal. Providing physical and technical assistance during the data center move Working in a rotating 12-hour shift during the move-to position Rack relocation and positioning Install cable management run cables etc Check and resolve error lights. Lite Windows and networking administration Etc Providing physical and technical assistance during the data center move E-waste disposal preparation Documentation updates resulting from the data center move Job Qualifications Bachelors degree in IT or a related field equivalent is desired but not required Overall 5+ years of relevant work experience with a technical implementation experience of IT infrastructure in the data center space Possesses excellent knowledge and experience of various IT Infrastructure technologies Data Center Services VMware, Citrix, EMC, Cisco, etc Network Cisco, Checkpoint, Citrix Disaster recovery Data Center to Cloud migrations Authentication and Access control AD, Okta, SailPoint Strong skills with Microsoft Excel and Visio Attention to detail will be required to succeed at this position Must have good English verbal and written communication skills REGARD Lovely Singh Keywords: active directory information technology Massachusetts |
