PRINCIPLE ACCCOUNTABILITIES: IT Security Operations Support: 60% Provide technical support for IT security operations including support, administration, and maintenance of Firewall, EDR, email gateway and identity management tools. Monthly metrics reporting and GRC report collection. Monitoring and analysis of all collected machine data including tool coverage and key performance indicators. Ticket support management and metrics. Troubleshoot technical issues with security solutions and provide timely and thorough support to the business as required. Regularly maintain and improve operational procedures. Corporate Governed Projects: 20% Act as a technical resource for corporate governed projects. Focus should be on identifying IT security risks early and throughout the project lifecycle, escalating any concerns to senior team members and management for direction. Aid with implementation of technology solutions that aligns with business objectives. General IT Security Consulting: 10% Provide general IT security guidance to and maintain beneficial and amicable relationships with IT peers and business units. Assist with audit and risk management related activities as required. Produce professional written assessments on matters of IT security as directed. Assist with security awareness initiatives. Provide management and operational support of security tools. Ensure proper team decision making through documented and repeatable processes. Computer Security Incident Handling: 5% Serve as an Incident Handler for computer security incidents, providing technical support as a member of the Incident Response Team. Garner timely support as required from other IT personnel as part of the Incident Handling team. Work to bring incidents to quick and thorough resolution with focus on preventing re-occurrence via thorough forensic analysis to identify root cause and any needed remediation. Technology Planning and Support: 5% Provide assistance in the creative use of technologies to support the company growth by researching and piloting solutions that support the companys security direction. Contribute to technical business cases to include justification and cost analysis. Experience: At least five (5) years of direct experience in an IT related field is required. Working knowledge in several IT security disciplines including Incident Response, Access Management, Network Security, Endpoint Security and Firewalls. Ability to communicate effectively and professionally both verbally and in writing is required. Familiarity with security concepts is required.
