Role: ETL Developer Location: Albany, New York Duration: NYS Workers Compensation Board Client: NY State Client Job ID#: HBITS-05-12940 Description This Senior IT Specialist position in the area of Data warehouse and business intelligence is required to support the continued development and maintenance of DW/BI solutions in response to critical agency requirements for the WCB. This position will also develop and maintain Pentaho ETL solutions, Pentaho BI schemas, executive dashboards and analytics. Additionally, this position will respond to all data warehouse and BI related ad hoc inquiry requests, development of dashboard features, and development of BI technical solutions for continued reporting requirements. Duties Gather and validate of BI and reporting requirements Document requirements & solutions Perform Data profiling on the source systems Design and review star schema dimensional model to support data warehouse and data marts Perform Source to Target Mapping between source system database and data warehouse target database Develop ETL transformations using one of the ETL tools like Pentaho Data Integration (PDI), or SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) Develop reports and analytics using one of the tools like SQL Server Reporting Services (Pentaho or Tableau) Develop complex queries using Transact-SQL leveraging analytic functions Perform necessary Testing Complete Documentation Mandatory Requirements Experience (6+ Years) Works in the field of Information Technology, experienced in the usage and support of a collection of development platforms, technical architectures or business applications and products that run on those platforms - beyond that of a Programmer. Requirements This is an 100% Onsite 60 months experience in building extraction and transformation of transactional data to drive data warehouse loads and end user BI as well as reporting requirements using ETL tools like Pentaho Data Integration (PDI) or SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) 60 months experience in reporting and analytics tools such as Pentaho or Tableau 60 months experience in complex SQL development leveraging analytics functions using in Sybase ASE or SQL Server 24 months experience in Pentaho Data Integration (PDI) development. 60 months experience in Star Schema / Dimensional Modeling to support data warehouse environments 60 months experience in doing data profiling and source to target mappings. 60 months experience in internal and external stakeholder communications and outreach, including the development of presentations and other materials Rsum Akkala Reddy Akkala Sligo Software Solutions, Inc.
