The EDI specialist/IT Software Developer Lead will architect, design, implement, and maintain data interchange systems with external and internal partners and applications. This role requires meeting with internal and external clients to understand their data interchange needs, turning the business needs into an EDI system design(s), EDI development, and working with EDI developers, QA, and UAT partners. To be successful as an EDI specialist/Developer Lead, you should have in-depth knowledge of software programming languages, knowledge of XSLT & scripting, a knack for development, expert troubleshooting skills, with a good experience in various EDI file formats. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors degree or equivalent in Computer Science. Experience minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years of progressively responsible work experience in EDI, with a minimum of one (1) of those years in the healthcare industry. EDI experience includes knowledge of EDI X12 transactions like 837, 835, 276/277, 997/999 Required technical proficiencies and knowledge Knowledge of Edifecs or equivalent platforms. Good knowledge of EDI Formats: 834, 837P/I, 835, 270/271, 276/277, 278N/R. XML, and Proprietary Formats Good understanding of EDI transaction sets, data mapping, and organization. Good understanding of EDI standards and practices EDIFACT, XML Proficient in creating, developing, and producing maps within Edifecs SpecBuilder Good knowledge of shell scripting using Bash, awk or PowerShell and experience with Regex. Good knowledge of software programming languages like Python, Java, dotNet or javascript. Good knowledge of relational SQL language with SQL Server or DB2, or Oracle. Experience with Source Control Management (Git, TFS, etc.) Experience or exposure to Microsoft Azure DevOps, Unit Testing & Test-Driven Development. Experience using Docker on a cloud-based platform is a plus, particularly having scaled containers across multiple Docker daemons. Experience using continuous deployment/integration (CI / CD) technology. Experience with agile development methodologies, including Kanban and Scrum Experience. Knowledge of microservices design patterns and MVC controller architecture is a plus Preferred Java/Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate; Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer or certified Master Java Enterprise Architect Required non-technical proficiencies and knowledge: Excellent interpersonal/written/verbal communication and listening skills necessary.
