| Hi, Need only Local to Phoenix,AZ Candidates OR Ex Amex (for other states) Role: Senior JAVA/J2EE Developer Location: Phoenix AZ Duration : Contract Client Cognizant Job Description Key Responsibilities: * Design and implement high-quality, scalable, and efficient Java applications and microservices. * Strong proficiency in working with Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud. * Develop and manage well-functioning existing backend REST API services Big Data platform. * Strong debugging skills with jvm & garbage collection process knowledge. * Utilize Linux operating systems for application deployment and performance tuning of the deployed java services. * Write well-designed, testable, and efficient code adhering to best software development practices. * Leverage latest java technologies to design and implement data-intensive applications. * Hands on with java file manipulation techniques, reading and writing to linux filesystem, interacting with linux based servers via iava isch to execute linux commands, retrieve and manage the output. * Exception knowledge on error and exception handling techniques in java. * Participate in architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment, security, and high availability in the cloud. * Work closely with cross-functional teams in deploying, monitoring, and ensuring the reliability of applications. * Collaborate with the team in automating the platform's operations and processes. * Maintain, improve existing codebases, and peer review code changes. * Troubleshoot software issues and debug application codes. * Monitor and improve application performance metrics. * Support and guide less experienced team members and coordinate with stakeholders. ****Required Skills and Experience: * Bachelor's/master's degree in computer science, or a related field. * A minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a Software Developer, with a strong focus on Java. * Proficient knowledge of the Spring Framework. * Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git. * Proficient with IDE's like eclipse, intellii. * Exceptional problem-solving capabilities and analytical skills. * Basic linux command usage skills. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment. Desirable Skills: * Experience in automating tasks using scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.). * Exposure to containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
