Job Role: Power BI Architect Duration: Long Term Contract Location: Remote Responsibilities: Solution Design: Lead the design and architecture of Power BI solutions, understanding business requirements and translating them into scalable and efficient data models and visualizations. Data Modeling: Develop robust data models by selecting appropriate data sources, defining relationships, creating calculated measures, and optimizing data queries for optimal performance. Dashboard Development: Create interactive and visually appealing dashboards and reports using Power BI's features, such as DAX calculations, custom visuals, and drill-through functionalities. ETL Processes: Design, implement, and manage ETL processes to transform and integrate data from various sources into the Power BI ecosystem, ensuring data accuracy and consistency. Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor and fine-tune Power BI solutions for optimal performance, including data refresh schedules, query optimization, and report rendering. Collaboration: Collaborate closely with business analysts, data engineers, and stakeholders to gather requirements, understand business needs, and deliver solutions that align with organizational goals. Governance and Security: Implement data governance and security best practices to ensure data confidentiality, integrity, and compliance with industry regulations. Training and Support: Provide training, guidance, and support to end-users on using Power BI tools effectively, enabling them to create and explore their own visualizations and reports. Research and Innovation: Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in Power BI and other related technologies, exploring opportunities for innovation and enhancement of BI capabilities. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of data models, report designs, and ETL processes, ensuring knowledge transfer and future scalability. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Proven experience (10+ years) as a Power BI Developer or Architect, with a track record of designing and implementing complex BI solutions. Expertise in data modeling, query optimization, and performance tuning within the Power BI ecosystem. Proficiency in writing complex DAX calculations and expressions. Strong understanding of ETL processes, data warehousing, and integration with various data sources. Familiarity with Microsoft Azure services, particularly Azure Data Factory and Azure SQL Database, is a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and levels of the organization. Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate or Microsoft Certified: Data Engineer Associate is a plus.
