Role : PostGres Admin Location: Remote Duration: Long term Work hours - 24x7 shift roster Job Description:- 1. L2 - 6 years of relevant experience 2. L3 - 10 years of relevant experience 3. Must have expertise on managing PostgreSQL for 3-5 years. 4. If you have been an Oracle DBA for more than 5 years, at least 3 years of experience in PostgreSQL is preferred. 5. Must have a deeper understanding of the PostgreSQL architecture and internals. 6. Should have an understanding of the limitations and the work-arounds for managing PostgreSQL deployed on DBaaS platforms. 7. Must have knowledge on implementing Automatic failover, Parallel backups and Connection Pooling using Open Source tools. 8. Must be able to handle Catalog Corruptions, Database Corruptions and Point in time recovery. 9. Must be able to analyze the logs and optimize the time consuming SQLs. 10. Must have knowledge on the most widely used extensions in PostgreSQL for monitoring, analyzing and maintaining the databases. 11. Must be able to perform PostgreSQL Upgrades from legacy to latest versions with least possible downtime.
