Kindly let me know if you are interested in this opportunity Position Lead ServiceNow Product Owner Location Philadelphia PA (onsite 5 days/ week) Job Type Contract Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled and ITSM-certified Technical ServiceNow Product Owner to lead the development and enhancement of our ServiceNow platform. This role requires a deep understanding of ServiceNow capabilities, IT service management (ITSM) best practices, and strong technical acumen. As a Technical ServiceNow Product Owner, you will play a pivotal role in driving the evolution of our IT service management capabilities through effective requirement gathering, technical guidance, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. Responsibilities: Product Vision and Strategy: Define a comprehensive product vision for the ServiceNow platform that aligns with our organization's IT service management objectives and technical capabilities. Develop a strategic roadmap that outlines technical enhancements, integrations, and features to drive continuous improvement. Requirements Gathering and Analysis: Collaborate closely with stakeholders, technical experts, and business analysts to capture detailed technical and functional requirements for the ServiceNow platform. Analyze and translate complex technical concepts into actionable user stories and technical specifications. Technical Expertise: Leverage your strong technical background to guide the development team in implementing technically sound solutions that align with ServiceNow best practices. Provide technical leadership in architectural decisions, integrations, customizations, and platform upgrades. Backlog Management: Maintain a prioritized and technically focused product backlog, ensuring that user stories and technical tasks are well-defined, estimated, and aligned with the product roadmap. Continuously groom the backlog to reflect changing technical requirements and evolving business needs. User Story Definition and Acceptance: Craft detailed user stories, technical specifications, and acceptance criteria that effectively communicate technical requirements to development teams. Review and accept completed user stories, ensuring they meet the defined technical standards and align with stakeholder expectations. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with developers, system administrators, quality assurance engineers, and other cross-functional teams to ensure successful technical implementation of features and enhancements. Facilitate effective communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders. Release Planning and Execution: Participate actively in release planning and sprint planning sessions, ensuring that technical considerations are factored into development efforts. Monitor sprint progress, address technical challenges, and ensure that technical debt is managed effectively. Technical Documentation and Training: Create comprehensive technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, integration guides, and technical specifications. Provide training and guidance to technical and non-technical stakeholders on platform capabilities and best practices. User Engagement and Feedback: Collaborate with end users and stakeholders to gather technical feedback, identify pain points, and propose solutions that enhance the technical aspects of the platform. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience). Extensive experience as a Technical Product Owner or similar role, with a strong focus on the ServiceNow platform and IT service management. ITSM certification (e.g., ITIL Foundation) is required. In-depth understanding of ServiceNow architecture, development, and customization capabilities. Proficiency in agile methodologies and experience working in agile development environments. Excellent technical communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to think critically and strategically.
