The Data Quality Analyst will take on a variety of day to day duties including running interfaces and database scripts to perform validation of test results and provide QA signoff or rejection of IT changes during new and updated data movement, data base updates, and ETL (data movement) processes. Provide defect and risk reporting of IT changes during Unit testing Regression Testing, System Integration Testing, and Product Testing. Report frequency and degree of code/logic errors to QA Management and Project Management Create and maintain QA templates and artifacts including Test plans/scripts Test Approach Detailed Test Conditions Test results Automation Scripts Job aids Project Status Reporting Detail functional requirements and interface specifications. View application and capture screen prints SQL queries, and reports. In addition, the right candidate will perform Regression Testing, Execute interfaces, System Integration Testing, Product Testing, Run SQL database queries with a primary focus on new and updated Internally developed Application Systems and Reporting systems and Corresponding downstream data movement, provide support of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Post implementation activities. And support of other QA efforts and End to End efforts for QA. Capture and maintain Quality metrics Maintains QA standards Interviews and works closely with the business to gather/clarify business requirements. Stays informed of the ways the organization uses its data Comprehends, and understands program/project strategy, road maps and timelines for execution Provides technical direction and training to other IT personnel Establishes projects and drives them to completion, on time and on budget meeting the customers expectations and objectives. Assertively challenges questionable designs and/or assumptions and to critically evaluate project deliverables Mentor others through issues and if needed, facilitate resolution Must be a constant learner. Staying up to date on industry knowledge and striving to learn about new and emerging technologies and trends in the Exhibition, Information Technology (IT) industries as well as business practices and trends (including regulatory and compliance requirements). Experience and working knowledge of industry quality assurance best practices related to new systems development and modifications to existing systems Relentlessly seeks to understand the technology product & service offerings by vendors providing products and services in the quality assurance space. Identifies and applies technology-based solutions to support solutions required for business problems. SKILLS AND ABILITIES Proficiency with multiple productivity tools including, or very similar to Database Querying (SQL Server, Azure, Netezza, Oracle) Big Data / Hadoop Middleware software execution and administration (Biztalk) ETL Software (DataStage) HP Quality Center, ALM, Quick Test Professional, Microsoft Office, Outlook, SharePoint Spreadsheet skills. (e.g., Excel) - Test definition, Requirement Mapping etc., Presentation skills. (e.g., Power Point) Data flow diagrams - Visio Word-processing skills. (e.g., Word) Data Compare tools (e.g., Beyond Compare) Automation Tools Extensive knowledge in systems development lifecycle methodologies, test structures, risk analysis and control in software development methods 1-3 years Test planning, documentation, and execution. 1-2 years of experience in SQL Scripting Knowledge in systems development lifecycle methodologies, test structures risk and control in software development methods Cross technical project management experience.
