| Job Description: Position: Java IBM ODM Experience: 5+ years (IBM ODM), 9+ years (Overall) Location: Pheonix, AZ Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Java IBM ODM Developer with a minimum of 5 years of specific experience in IBM Operational Decision Manager (ODM). The ideal candidate should possess a strong technical background and expertise in Java development, along with hands-on experience in JavaScript, RestAPI, Drools, and Provenir. This role requires a deep understanding of rule-based decision systems and the ability to design, develop, and optimize complex decision services. Responsibilities: IBM ODM Development: Lead the design, development, and implementation of rule-based decision services using IBM ODM, ensuring high performance, scalability, and maintainability. Java Development: Utilize your extensive Java development expertise to integrate IBM ODM components seamlessly into existing applications and systems. Rule Engine Expertise: Leverage your in-depth knowledge of Drools rule engine and rule languages to develop and maintain complex decision logic. Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate IBM ODM with various systems and external applications using RestAPIs and other integration mechanisms. Performance Optimization: Analyze and fine-tune rule execution performance to ensure optimal decision-making speed and efficiency. Provenir Integration: Leverage your proven experience with Provenir to seamlessly integrate decision services into the existing workflow. Documentation: Create detailed technical documentation, including design specifications, architecture diagrams, and code comments, to ensure clear understanding and maintainability of the developed components. Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve technical issues, bugs, and bottlenecks in decision services, working collaboratively with the support and QA teams. Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers, sharing your technical expertise and best practices in IBM ODM and related technologies. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus. Minimum of 9 years of professional software development experience, with at least 5 years of hands-on experience specifically in IBM ODM. Expertise in Java programming and Java Enterprise Edition (Java EE). Strong proficiency in JavaScript and RestAPI integration. Proven experience with Drools rule engine and rule languages. Hands-on experience with Provenir is highly desirable. Solid understanding of rule-based decision systems and business rule management. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex technical issues. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a team. Experience in financial services, insurance, or a related industry is a plus.
