Job Description: Job Title : ETL Informatica Developer Duration: 12 months. Location: Onsite (Hybrid) in McLean, VA on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday Video Interview Work Authorization: USC GC Years of experience: 5+ Rate: $50 on C2C MAX Must have experience with the latest version of PowerCenter (10.1.1). The Client highly prefers candidates with Java development experience. 70% of the development work will be ETL based and the rest 30% will be Java based. Highly prefer candidates with Relational Database experience (MSSQL). Sybase is highly preferred. Data comes from a third party application or vendor. ETL loads and transforms the data. The Java component talks to the ETL and loads the data into the database. The Java component also is used to talk to other services, fetch files etc. Application is legacy oriented and will transition from ETL / Java based to all Java in the future. Must Haves: Must have 2+ years of experience with ETL tools, but Informatica Power Center is strongly preferred. Must have 2+ years of experience with relational databases, with a preference for experience with Sybase and/or MSSQL. Unix and Shell scripting are must haves. Strong preference for Java development experience. Position Description: Should be having at least 2 4 years of hands-on experience in ETL Informatica power center or similar ETL tool, but Informatica is strongly preferred. Familiar with relational databases like Sybase (preferred), MSSQL (preferred), Redshift, PostgreSQL, DB2, SQL Server, Oracle with development experience. Full understanding of Data warehousing concepts and must be able to understand data models. Should have experience in Unix, Java, Snowflake (preferred). Should have good communication skills, analytical ability, and problem-solving skills. Should be able to articulate the issues and propose viable solutions. Should be a self-starter who can work independently. Be able to collaborate, develop and maintain excellent working relationships across all organization levels with both internal and external stakeholders. Must be able to work with Business Analyst and Technical Architect to define technical requirements. Must be able to fix the issues within the defined SLAs. Create sources, targets, mappings, and workflows for ETL jobs as per the design (using Informatica or other ETL tool). Create transformations in ETL jobs/ to achieve data cleansing and standardization during initial data load. Work with databases, ETL tools (Informatica, similar others) and SQL for querying and manipulating datasets. Work with source system architects/ SMEs to understand integration needs. Must be able design and document integration architecture. Work on migration and upgrade projects. Hands on experience in cloud technology. Ready to learn and adapt to changing technology landscape.
