The IT Business Analyst will work closely with our rapidly growing IT team, senior leadership, and key partners to plan, coordinate, execute and support technology projects. Duties and Responsibilities: Collaborate with key stakeholders and product owners leading structured meetings and using collaborate workshops. Applies Joint Application Development (JAD) methodology to gather requirements and uncover expectations. Fully understands the business needs, drivers for change, current pain points, vision, internal and external factors. Consult with the business and product owners to prioritize and shape the Product Backlog, using Agile practices for prioritization around business value. Assist the team with the elaboration of the user stories and requirements. Work with other analysts to understand integration points with other systems and communicate the impact of proposed system changes. Partner with technical and business resources to support the product life cycle from Idea Generation through Completion. Monitor performance and provide responsive action to issues maintaining high-level internal customer satisfaction to required service level performance measures, through the successful resolution of customer requests/issues/change requests. Understand the business challenges and identify data-driven business insights with effective presentation of findings at multiple levels of stakeholders. Track departmental projects alongside monthly, quarterly, and annual goals. Participate in and facilitate relevant Agile ceremonies and rituals: Backlog Refinement, Daily Stand-up, Iteration / Release Planning, Showcases / Sprint Review, Retrospective. Analyzing, evaluating, and documenting business processes Gathering key requirements from stakeholders and producing useful reports and analysis Facilitating meetings and presenting reports, analysis, or findings Documenting and effectively communicating the results of your efforts Documenting, implementing, and maintaining standard operating procedures Validating that solutions meet business needs and requirements Writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and participating in user acceptance testing Managing projects, developing project plans, and monitoring performance Monitoring deliverables and ensuring timely completion of projects Serving as a liaison between stakeholders Researching and developing IT proposals, specifications, and scopes of work Managing competing priorities Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Business, or similar General Experience: At least five (5) years of experience with Business Analysis in software development projects. Excellent communications and written skills Experience working with Federal clients directly in a client-facing role Team oriented and ability to work with different teams Experience conducting interviews for requirements Excellent analytical and conceptual thinking skills Ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions Stays current on technology advancements to automate and modernize systems Excellent documentation skills Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook A track record of following through on commitments Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills Experience leading and developing top performing teams A history of leading and supporting successful projects Experience with SDLC and agile methodologies Specialized Experience: Experience in quality assurance concepts and best practices Federal grants management knowledge and experience Complex technology program support experience Familiarity with defect management tools (HP ALM, Bugzilla, JIRA, etc.) Security Clearance: This role required US Citizenship due to the security clearance requirements of the program Having the ability to qualify for or have an existing US Government Public Trust clearance is required.
