Job Description We Are looking talented Back End Software Engineer with a passion for creating robust and scalable solutions in the Mortgage Lending domain BlueSage Solutions is seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team remotely or in our Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey headquarters as a Back End Software Engineer. If you have a strong background in Java development, experience with large-scale software projects, and a commitment to writing high-quality, well-tested code, we encourage you to apply! Requirements/Skills: Mortgage Lending domain knowledge is a plus. Extensive experience in modern Java and the Java ecosystem. Extensive experience in developing large-scale software applications. Ability to write high-quality, well-tested code to ensure software reliability and maintainability. Practical experience with web application development in Quarkus, Spring Boot, Grails, or Micronaut. Deep understanding of ORMs (Hibernate, JPA) and SQL for efficient database operations. Thorough Knowledge of database schema design, caching, and scalability best practices. Practical experience writing unit tests using JUnit and Mockito for ensuring code quality. Basic knowledge of JavaScript and single-page app development to collaborate with front-end teams effectively. Bonus Points for familiarity with AWS, Microservices, Docker, or Kubernetes. Responsibilities: Act as a liaison between upper management and the engineering staff, ensuring strong solutions are delivered to meet business objectives. Demonstrate a passion for user experience and commitment to delivering a high-quality end product. Comfortably work with front-end technologies, development frameworks, and third-party libraries to build cohesive solutions. Advise on feasibility and propose creative solutions for interactive UI elements, optimal user experience, and efficiency. Create mockups when necessary to effectively communicate concepts and approaches to team leaders. Document and establish development standards for other developers to maintain code consistency. Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to foster professional growth within the team. Maintain code quality and establish coding standards to drive a long-term vision for our front-end applications. Collaborate closely with business analysts and developers to shape new features within our product. Effectively communicate and convey information and ideas to facilitate understanding of approaches being taken. Ensure that all software changes are thoroughly tested, accepted, and do not adversely affect the system. Education: Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
